Copywriter. Storyteller.
New Yorker with a California accent.

For the last 8 years, I’ve written everything from documentaries and branded content to marketing videos, headlines, pitch decks, and podcast scripts, covering topics that range from socially conscious storytelling to tech marketing.

I live in Park Slope, Brooklyn, where my wife is the President of our block association. If I play my cards right, I might be able to oust the current Secretary. Also, my favorite pizzeria is tied to the mob, but you didn’t hear that from me.

Samsung’s Team Galaxy Squad

How did Samsung get its brand ambassadors to make killer content for the Galaxy S25 launch? They contracted me.

I wrote scripts that helped content creators show off product features, promote offers, and turn followers into Samsung users.

The content rolled out alongside major moments like live events, product launches, college sports, and even a new season of Love Island.

Samsung Galaxy Live

I was brought on as a writer for Samsung’s e-commerce livestream to help kick the show up a notch.

Timed around major product launches, I pitched and wrote high-energy segments designed to showcase Samsung Galaxy devices. Segments included fake infomercials, games, and head-to-head comparisons against competitors.

Because each host had a different personality and on-camera style, the writing had to adapt to their strengths while keeping the show fast, funny, and sales-driven.

Our host, Ian, loves Galaxy devices so much that he got special offers tattooed all over his body. Fun fact: we originally cast Dylan Efron—Zac’s brother—but his agent canceled at the last minute after he unexpectedly advanced to round two of Dancing with the Stars.

Riffing on John Maddenʼs famous Telestrator, I wrote this goofy, sports-themed segment where the showʼs host ran plays to demonstrate Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7ʼs dominance on the field.

While creating this fake informercial, I had to explain Billy Mays and Oxiclean to a Gen Z coworker.

Stories Bureau // Equinix

As a contract copywriter for Stories Bureau, I wrote direct-response and B2B marketing videos, along with social media ad copy and CTAs for their client Equinix, a global digital infrastructure company.

My job was to translate complex, technical concepts into clear, accessible language that worked both for search engines and real people.

GGV Capital

The Founder Real Talk podcast features honest conversations with tech founders and CEOs.

I researched guests across the industry—including Airbnb, Lemonade, and MongoDB—shaping pre-interviews and writing scripts that guided conversations through their past, present, and future while tackling the real challenges startups face.

After recordings, I wrote headlines and show notes for Spotify and iTunes, and pulled standout sound bites to help the editor create episode lead-ins.

Firelight Films

I wrote the scripts for several short documentaries produced for the Smithsonian Channel and permanently displayed at the National Museum of African American History and Culture.

Using archival footage and voice-over, the films trace African American history from the slave trade to the Black Lives Matter movement.

Left/Right

I spent 3 years as an in-house script coordinator for multiple network reality shows.

After producers shot in the field, I was handed the transcripts, which I turned into story-driven scripts for editors to shape the final episodes.

Independent Filmmaking

When I’m not working for The Man, I write, direct, and produce my own projects. It’s an opportunity to flex my creativity, assemble a team, and give myself the greenlight.

I have projects in various phases of development, ranging from a documentary about dementia and the nature of memory to an ice boat racing Wisconsin comedy.

When a routine “clean upˮ goes wrong, three blue-collar criminals hide from the inevitable at a cabin in the woods, but tensions within the group reach a boiling point as their pursuers close in and old wounds reopen.

I wrote, directed, and produced the proof-of-concept short film Ashes Under the Sand. I convinced friends, family, and strangers to back our Kickstarter, and raised 111% of our goal. The film screened nationwide in 2025. Together, we built a community of over 120 people, and I spent two years sending weekly updates to our backers. It was exhausting, but it was also the most fun I’ve ever had.

These are all selfies my dog has taken.
